Who sells to you
My Hero Storybooks is a trading name of the registered company below, the seller for every order.

What we sell
My Hero Storybooks creates made-to-order personalized children's storybooks: a digital PDF edition and a printed softcover edition (21 x 21 cm; the number of pages depends on the story). Each book is created after purchase from the details you provide.
Who may buy
Buyers must be 18 or older and must be the parent or legal guardian of the child, or have that person's permission to provide the child's details.
AI disclosure and human review
Our books are designed and art-directed by My Hero Storybooks and created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Every finished page is reviewed by a person before delivery or printing.
Personal-use license
The delivered book is for personal, non-commercial use. You may print copies for the recipient's household or as personal gifts. Resale, sublicensing, merchandise, dataset use and commercial reproduction are not permitted.
The pictures, and your photo
We own the illustrations and the layout of the book. You get a licence to use your copy for your family, forever, for anything that is not commercial: read it, print it, give it as a gift.
When you upload a photo, you confirm two things: that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child in it (or have their permission), and that you are allowed to give us that photograph — that it is yours, or the person who took it agreed. If a photographer, a nursery or a school took it, please check first.
By uploading it you give us permission to use that photo for one purpose only: making your book. Nothing else. We do not put it on the site, we do not show it to anyone, and we delete it on the schedule in the privacy policy.
We cannot draw characters from films, television or games, and we cannot use text someone else wrote without their permission.
Your legal guarantee
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the law gives you a two-year guarantee on the printed book and a right to have the PDF brought into conformity if it does not work as described. Nothing in these terms shortens that. How it works in practice is on the Refunds and corrections page.
Placing an order
An order is placed when you press the button that says so on the last step of the order page. We confirm it by email, with your order number, what you ordered and the price. Until we have received your payment, nothing is made and nothing is charged. If we cannot accept an order — for example because a photo cannot be used — we tell you and nothing is owed.
Payments
Payments are by Visa or Mastercard on a secure page operated by our bank, Komercijalna banka AD Skopje. We never see or store card numbers, and we add no surcharge for paying by card. Details are on the Payment and security page.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights that apply to you by law.
